About

Faith Hills is a multidisciplinary artist from Northern Virginia living in Redondo Beach. Her ceramics, illustrations and sculptures are inspired by the natural, the fantastical, her experiences and the things she spends time thinking and learning about. A large chunk of her work is devoted to depicting environmental topics using natural materials – primarily clay, oxides and glaze, but also things like felt, paper and wood.

She loves to play with texture, leave evidence of her hands in her work, and she embraces serendipitous imperfections that make her forms more organic. She likes to make functional, accessible work in the hope of making connections and spreading intentions. She wants to use her imagination to encourage others to think curiously and creatively, be aware of their world, and enjoy the little, funky, beautiful things in life.

Faith earned an Associate of Arts degree from El Camino College in 2020, she completed two semesters in Loyola Marymount University’s ceramics extension program in 2019 and she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Dominguez Hills in 2023. She is a peer-juried member of the Torrance Craftsmen’s Guild, and she manages the social media for the Greater Los Angeles Pen and Ink Group (GLAMPIG). She is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer— she designs and sells original artwork at local events, national pen shows and in her Etsy store: Fish Conquers the World.
